The preliminary squads for all cricketing nations taking part in the ICC World Cup 2011 has been give and the main squad will be decided and submitted to the ICC on January 19, 2011. The men in blue have had a wonderful past few years in test and ODI cricket. They are ranked number 2 in ODI’s and number in tests. This proves their ability though they have not had a decent run in the last world cup where they faced an embarrassing defeat and exit out of the world cup 2007 failing to make it to the super 8 stage, India though are the winners of 1983 world cup and finalists of the 2003 world cup. They are a formidable side when they in the sub-continent. They have the fire power to make the distance. With the crowd on their back, and pumped up emotions, they will look to win this edition. They have a side blended with experience and youth. Team captained by M.S Dhoni, the Indian tigers will look to be the first team to win a world cup on home soil. Sachin Tendulkar has been a vital member of this team for two decades now, his experience will be useful to make team India winners this time. The only one feat that the little master has not achieved is a world cup. Will this be his chance to be a member of the world cup winning team? Squad includes likes of explosive batsman Virender Sehwag, he has helped India many a time with super starts pairing up with the little master or the vice-captain Gautam Gambhir, the middle order features batsmen like Rohit Sharma.
