Sangakkara had a point, that his team rarely plays against major teams like Australia and England and hence gets fewer chances to rise up the ladder. well, time for commenting is over as Sri Lanka begin a rare tour of Australia this October 2010.
Sri Lanka play no test matches but 2 one day tour matches against Australian first class teams Queensland and New South Wales and a twenty20 match versus NSW before the internationals games against main Australia team.
First up is a one-off twenty20 international at Western Australia ground (WACA) in Perth and then 3 one day internationals at Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. All the one day matches will be played a day-night affairs.
The ODIs will be starting 2.20pm local time with the exception of 3rd ODI which kicks off an hour earlier while the Sri Lanka v Australia twenty20 match on 31st October 2010 will start at 5.35pm local time which is five minutes past 3pm in Sri Lanka and India.

Sri Lanka have played no less than 80 one day matches in Australia and won only 18 of them, losing 60 while other 2 produced no results.
